Dedicated Church, Mission Center and Chapel in Odisha mission
The C.S.I Odisha mission Center, St. James chapel and newly built Church of the Odisha mission field of CSI Madhya Kerala diocese was dedicated on 14th February, 2018 by CSI Moderator and our Bishop Most. Rev. Thomas. K. Oommen in the presence of clergy and laity.
The site for the mission center along with an old building was donated by Mr. George Ittyerah of Chengannur, which was renovated as the mission house and chapel in Satighat with the help of donations from the CSI Madhya Kerala Diocese Almaya fellowship and many believers across the diocese.
With the financial help from the CSI Holy Trinity Malayalam Congregation Chennai, our first village church in Odisha mission was built in Kumbhipada and was dedicated in the presence of a great crowd of villagers. Holy Communion service was conducted in Malayalam, Hindi and Odiya languages and over 500 believers from different villages in Odisha attended the service.
